What we do

My little story

Ciao, I am Lucia Ercolano.

For 10 years I have teached the traditional Neapolitan and Italian cuisine to all my friends, students and visitors of my B&B Lubra Casa Relax.

My mother Filomena, and my grandmother Emanuela, they passed down to me the love of cooking and trasmitted me all the secrets of traditional Neapolitan recipes.

My mother was very committed to working with my father in the family business and since I am the oldest of four sisters and brothers, I had to replace her in the kitchen, taking care of all my brothers.

From this life experience, was born my passion for cooking, which I then deepened thanks to my uncles, who ran one of the largest and most famous pizzerias in the Sorrento peninsula.

I always tried to improve my cooking, so I attended many professional lessons even in prestigious schools as “Gambero Rosso”. Unfortunately, my previous job did not allow me to have much time to devote to the kitchen, so about ten years ago, with the help of my son Alessandro, we founded Alexia cooking school: my cooking school.

The name Alexia was born in order to emphasize our cooperation:

Alex + Lucia = Alexia

The purpose “Alexia Cooking School” is to convey a passion for cooking and not only teach, to understand the true flavor of Neapolitan and Italian dishes.

About two years ago, Alexia Cooking School was placed side by side to Lubra Casa Relax, our Bed and Breakfast situeted in Schiazzano (Massa Lubrense). This “relationship” between Alexia Cooking School and Lubra Casa Relax, allow all our customers to stay with us a few more days, and organize intensive classes several days.

In recent years I have also participated to the realization of the book “Now eat this Italian” along with the American chef Rocco di Spirito.

I hope to meet you and teach you all my knowledge on Neapolitan cuisine.
